Anabel Fernandez is more than an immigration attorney\u2014she is a compassionate guide, a fierce advocate, and a living testament to the very journey she now defends for others. Born in Cuba, Anabel came to the U.S. with dreams in her heart and a deep understanding of what it means to fight for a future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today, she is the co-founder of Ponton & Fernandez, Attorneys at Law, P.A., a boutique immigration firm in Tampa, Florida, which she proudly owns with her husband, Juan Carlos Pazmi\u00f1o Ponton\u2014also an immigration attorney and fellow immigrant, born in Ecuador. Anabel and Juan Carlos met while studying at the University of Miami School of Law and have since built their lives together, both personally and professionally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Their shared immigrant roots form the heart of their practice. Every case they take on is more than a file\u2014it\u2019s a story they recognize, a journey they\u2019ve walked, and a life they\u2019re honored to fight for.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With years of experience, Anabel has become known for her powerful advocacy in Cuban Adjustment Act cases, asylum, removal defense, family petitions, and humanitarian relief. But what truly sets her apart is the way she leads with empathy. Her clients aren\u2019t just clients\u2014they\u2019re part of the family she chooses to serve with passion, precision, and heart.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Outside the courtroom, Anabel is a devoted wife and proud mother, and she remains deeply committed to uplifting her community. She believes immigration law is about more than paperwork\u2014it\u2019s about people, dignity, and the promise of belonging.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
